Go-Filter™

If you see this warning, please upgrade your Flash Player or download Javascript.

The Go-Filter™ stormwater filtration system is designed for sites that need immediate and fast treatment of water to meet NPDES permit requirements.

The Go-Filter™ is not only unique because of its light-weight HDPE construction, but also because of the ease of mobility and transportation. The Go-Filter™ system can be designed for various flow rates and also be light enough to be moved by a pick-up truck.

Performance testing is a normal part of our quality assurance program. Third party testing has demonstrated TSS removals of greater than 80% and the effective removal of additional pollutants including hydrocarbons (i.e. light and heavy oils and grease), phosphorus, and various heavy metals (i.e. copper, zinc).

System Operation

Each Go-Filter™ system is engineered to utilize a unique approach for pollutant removal. This patented configuration begins with the removal of gross pollutants by the primary swirl concentrator, the removal of flocculated and de-emulsified sediment and oils in the secondary swirl concentrator, followed by the removal of fine sediments and water-borne pollutants by the filtration chamber.

gofilter_photo__crop__5x5__300dpi_small_wince.jpgThe Go-Filter™ system is engineered such that the filtration capacity complies with established śwater quality treatmentť requirements. This means that the system filters the movement of fine sediment pollutants that can be particularly harmful. The Go-Filter™ water filtration system operates under gravitational and hydrodynamic forces with no moving parts or valves, which simplifies the treatment process.

The Go-Filter™ systems unique treatment method is illustrated in the drawing shown below and to the right. The following steps describe this treatment:

Primary Treatment

If you see this warning, please upgrade your Flash Player or download Javascript.

The first Aqua-Swirl Concentrator removes gross sediment, floating debris and free-oil through vortex separation. Chemical additives can be introduced into the water for specialized treatment, such as flocculation of sediment or de-emulsification methods.

Secondary Treatment

The second Aqua-Swirl Concentrator provides a highly effective means for the removal of flocculated sediment, and pre-treated COCs that were not captured during the primary treatment. Swirl technology, or vortex separation, is a proven form of treatment to accelerate gravitational separation.

Tertiary Treatment

If you see this warning, please upgrade your Flash Player or download Javascript.

The filtration chamber in the Go-Filter™ System is designed to further reduce contaminents of concern and enhance the water quality prior to discharge into sensitive receiving waters. As the pre-treated water enters the filtration chamber, it is evenly distributed up through the filter bed and permeates through the filter media (Note: up-flow and gravitational configurations are available). Various filtration media can be used for the discharge requirements of the site COCs.

Filter Media

The natural filter media, used for the filtration, are capable of removing the remaining water-borne pollutants such as dissolved oils, fine silts and clays, nutrients (phosphates), and heavy metals (zinc). The most commonly used media is medium grain perlite. Other filter media, such as zeolite, granulated activated carbon and synthetic textiles are available.
