Second AquaShield™ System Certified by NJDEP AquaShield™ is pleased to announce that its Aqua-Filter™ stormwater filtration chamber has been granted Conditional Interim Certification by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.
The Aqua-Filter™ chamber is a key component of the Aqua-Filter™ stormwater filtration system, an in-line system capable of gross contaminant removal and the removal of fine sediments, waterborne hydrocarbons, heavy metals, and nutrients such as phosphorous and nitrogen. Its certification comes on the heels of the NJDEP’s certification of AquaShield™’s Aqua-Swirl™ Concentrator, a hydrodynamic separator which provides a highly effective means for the removal of TSS (coarse/fine sediment), floating debris, and free oil. Both systems were certified based on performance data supplied by the New Jersey Corporation for Advanced Technology (NJCAT); the Aqua-Filter™ is one of the four stormwater filtration technologies to be verified by the NJCAT. "These certifications are vital to us", stated AquaShield™ President, Kelly Williamson, “Not only can we now offer both hydrodynamic and separation technologies to end-users in New Jersey, but thanks to TARP (The Technology Acceptance and Reciprocity Partnership), we can offer these solutions to the appropriate constituencies in California, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia as well." AquaShield™, Inc. is a visionary organization devoted to the effective stewardship of the planet's water resources. The company's Aqua-Filter™, Aqua-Swirl™, and Aqua-Guardian™ stormwater treatment systems are internationally recognized as among the most effective in the industry. |
