Rep Highlight: Dev Vasudev (NJ,NY,CT,MA,PA,RI,NH,VT)
Rep_dev.jpgDev Vasudev, AquaShield™ Sales Agent based in central New Jersey, will make you feel like old friends fast. He says “salesmanship is in his blood.” Dev started out in India designing air pollution control systems where he was a project engineer for 10 years. He also worked in the aircraft industry and now owns Shri Agencies. His company represents the AquaShield™ line of products in the northeastern states including CT, MA, ME, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI and VT.

His decision to become an AquaShield™ sales agent was not a rash decision, but rather an informed and researched one. Dev says that he looked into a number of companies within the stormwater industry, and one of the winning factors that swayed his decision was the unique use of High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) in the AquaShield™ products, allowing the systems to be lightweight and easily installed. However, innovative products weren’t the only deciding factor for Dev to represent AquaShield™ He says the AquaShield™ team was definitely instrumental in his decision. He liked the interviews he had with AquaShield™ president, Kelly Williamson, and general manager, Eric Rominger. He said he got “good vibes” from the conversations; and especially likes how promptly the technical and production staff at AquaShield™ responds to his inquiries to meet his customer’s needs. “AquaShield™ is very active in promoting their products; they make it easy for me!”

A career in sales is invigorating, and AquaShield™ keeps him busy 90% of the time. He thought for a moment about retiring, but decided against that since he says he would have gotten bored rather quickly. Instead, he plans to add a few more people to his company as business continues to expand. For Dev, business doesn’t shut down at five o’clock, or on Saturday or Sunday should the need arise. After the typical business day that would include personal contact with the customers, as well as some “brown bag” lunch presentations, Dev saves all the administrative work for the evening, thus providing maximum availability for his customers during the normal business hours.

Dev has made significant market penetration with the Aqua-Filter™ Stormwater Filtration System which has received technology verification by the prestigious New Jersey Corporation for Advanced Technology; and has been granted Conditional Interim Certification status by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. The NJDEP is well recognized as a leading regulatory agency for the stormwater community.

As busy as Dev sounds, he still takes time to relax and listen to some music, enjoys gardening, visit with his grandson and spend time with his wife.
